Substitute Cafeteria Helper/Server/Pot Washer (per diem)

Gr New Bedford Reg Voc Tech High School

Work Year:     2-3 hours a day  -  PER DIEM

Time:              10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

                       Must be able to work a school calendar

Report to:       Cafeteria Manager

Performance Responsibilities 

1. Report to the cafeteria, sign payroll sheet and check schedule.
2. Serve students and staff from the serving line in a timely manner.
3. Be courteous to staff and students.
4. Servers must use portion control and portion size.
5. Person must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs.  Job is very physical. Must be capable of bending, reaching and lifting.
6. Servers must be able to mantain cleanliness of the serving line for each lunch shift and restocking of food items for each lunch shift.
7. Break down food from serving line at end of lunch and properly package and store in walk-in cooler or freezer.
8. In the main kitchen hand wash pots, pans, small wares from breakfast and lunch produciton
9. Load soiled sheet pans in the washer
10. Put clean pots/pans on the shelf and sweep area
11. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Manager.
